01 / SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

Sustainability Strategy & Project Design

We work with businesses and communities from the point of deciding what to do, where to begin and who to work with.

We turn one-off environmental measures into projects that create lasting value for management, business and communities.

WHAT WE DO

What we do

  • Sustainability strategy
  • Water and natural capital strategy
  • Current-state analysis and issue identification
  • Medium- and long-term roadmaps
  • Project design
  • Internal project launch
  • Specialist and researcher team formation
  • Partnership design with universities, governments and companies
  • Pilot project planning
  • Project management
CASE / RUSUTSU RESORT

Designing a sustainability project around water.

At Rusutsu Resort, the project began by clarifying the direction of its sustainability efforts.

Positioning water as vital natural capital for both the resort and the surrounding community, we are developing a long-term water-cycle project that connects researchers, companies and Rusutsu Village.

  2. 2025

Hydrogeological surveys and IoT monitoring begin

  3. 2026

Expansion into green infrastructure, joint research, education and community partnerships

02 / WATER & NATURAL CAPITAL

Water & Natural Capital Research and Implementation

Specialist research and technology help us understand water, forests and other natural environments and turn that knowledge into practical improvements.

  1. Investigate
  2. Monitor
  3. Visualize
  4. Improve

  • Green infrastructure
  • Leaky dams
  • Kerplunk structures
  • Effectiveness evaluation
CASE / RUSUTSU RESORT

Understanding unseen groundwater through fieldwork and data.

At Rusutsu, researchers walk the mountains, forests and rivers to investigate wells, groundwater, springs, rainfall and forests.

Monitoring wells, water-level sensors, rain gauges and LoRaWAN have since been introduced, developing the work into continuous water-cycle monitoring.

The work now extends beyond collecting data to protecting and nurturing water through forest recharge, leaky dams and kerplunk structures.

We turn environmental research and corporate activities into experiences that communities and the next generation can join, beyond the circle of specialists.

We translate environmental knowledge into experience, learning, dialogue and community participation.

WHAT WE DO

What we do

  • Symposium planning and operation
  • Environmental education for children
  • Community events
  • Resident workshops
  • Fieldwork
  • Geotours
  • Corporate training
  • School trips
  • Educational travel
  • Sustainable excursions
CASE / RUSUTSU RESORT

Turning water research into community learning.

Water-cycle symposium

Since 2024, an annual symposium has brought researchers, companies, local government and the community together to discuss the water cycle.

Each year provides a place to share project progress and the next direction.

  1. 2024

    Understand water

  2. 2025

    Share monitoring results

  3. 2026

    Connect to local implementation

Children’s and educational programs

Local children enter forests and rivers to learn about the water cycle through hands-on experiences.

These activities are also being developed into water-cycle field programs for school trips and educational travel.

04 / SUSTAINABLE BRANDING

Sustainable Branding

Even worthwhile environmental activities may struggle to create corporate value if their meaning is not communicated.

amenowa clarifies why an activity matters, what was done, what changed and why it is meaningful to society, communicating that value for companies and communities.

WHAT WE DO

What we do

  • Sustainable brand strategy
  • Brand concepts
  • Story development
  • Website planning
  • Articles and editing
  • Photography and video
  • PR
  • Events
  • SNS
  • Reports
  • Sustainability communication
CASE / RUSUTSU RESORT

Tell environmental action as one connected story.

At Rusutsu, water-cycle surveys, research, IoT monitoring, forest activities, symposia and children’s events are communicated as one connected story, rather than isolated activity reports.

  1. Understand water
  2. Measure water
  3. Protect and nurture water
  4. Share with the community

By combining websites, photographs, video, events and articles, we turn environmental activities into brand value for businesses and communities.

  2. People surveying a forest stream
  3. People discussing a project around a table
  4. Children and adults taking part in outdoor activities with mountains behind them
